What an entertaining first half we were treated to in the final match of this year's 6 Nations championship. France started the game on top and 2 penalties from Machenaud gave them an early lead they deserved. However the game was turned on its head after a brilliant try from Sexton scoring his 3rd try of the championship. However he missed the extra's with France still leading 6-5 at the end of the first quarter. 6 minutes later after some brilliant individual play from Murray Trimble went over and Ireland went in front for the first time in the game. Just as Ireland looked to build on their lead France hit back with a brilliant try in the corner from Dulin after a magnificent assist from Huget. With the last kick of the half Sexton failed put Ireland in front with a penalty you would would expect him to get. Will Ireland rue these missed chances only time will tell. Second half is moments away.
