Possession:
Crusaders: 60%
Chiefs: 40%
Try Chiefs! Brilliant move. Cruden chases down a Carter kick and he's ran 30 metres to the line but is just pulled up short, Chiefs have advantage fit in front of the posts and Kerr Barlow tries a cross field and Tikorotuma places the ball down. Cruden misses the conversion so the score is 12-8 Crusaders after 27 minutes.
Chiefs are penalised again. This time the two props are adjudged to be offside. Carter has a chance 15 metres out and he's never going to miss it. He's 3 points away from reaching 1500 points. Crusaders lead 12-3 after 20 minutes.
Crusaders on top here. They've had most of the possession and are looking a real threat going forward.
Chiefs are struggling at the breakdown massively. They are again penalised at the ruck, this time in at the side and Dan Carter has no problem slotting it over in front of the posts.
Chiefs respond straight away with a kick of their own from Aaron Cruden. That was important for the Chiefs as the Crusaders were on top.
Chiefs are again penalised at the breakdown this time for not rolling away. Carter has a chance from 40 metres and it goes over. 6-0 Crusaders after 10 minutes.
Crusaders draw first blood in this game as Dan Carter sticks over a penalty. Chiefs were penalised for being offside at the ruck.
Nice
Hello and welcome to this Super 15 encounter between Crusaders and Chiefs. This is one of the biggest games of the season for both sides as Crusaders are coming into some brilliant form but they face a Chiefs side who sits top of the Super Rugby table. A win could take the Crusaders as high as third while a loss will throw them into a dog fight for top six qualification in the final regular season round next week. While Chiefs have already qualified for the playoffs, they will still want to beat their New Zealand rivals. Stay with us on Ultimate Rugby for updates.
