Leicester Tigers take a 27-14 lead over Clermont into halftime. Leicester got off to the perfect start with an early try and they added a penalty midway through the half to lead 10-0. Clermont got on the board with a try, but another Leicester score followed around the half hour mark to make it 17-7. Clermont then picked up a yellow card and the Tigers capitalized with another try to make it 24-7. Clermont responded with their second try, with Leicester adding a penalty with the final play of the half to lead by 13 points at the break.
