Half time at the Stade Marcel Michelin and it appears nothing more then a training game from Clermont. 4 tries within the space of 40 minutes have given the hosts a 34 points to nothing lead at the break. Vosloo, Sivivatu and Nakaitaci have all touched down for the home side. Bayonne have simply had no answer to the terrific offensive display here this evening. Sivivatu and Fofana in particular have been deadly with ball in hand. Brock James appears to have his kicking boots on also with a lovely 6/6 score for Australian. Will Bayonne has any answer in the second half? Time will tell. We can expect to see a whole host of changes for Clermont as Cotter will look to preserve as well as experiment with a lead like that. This time the delivery came from James but it was Fofana who broke down the left wing once again with a simply pass to Nakaitaci resulting in the winger grabbing his second try of the game. James maintains superb accuracy with the boot. Bonus point secured and it's not even half time!

TRY CLERMONT. Superb piece of play results in the first try of the game for the home side. Clermont's supremacy cleary evident within the opening 10 mins. An initial break form Sitiveni Sivivatu allowed for the speedy winger to run almost 50 metres up the pitch before offloading to Gerhard Vosloo to barrel his way over the whitewash.
