The Reds score but the TMO is brought in again for a forward pass from Cooper to Morahan. The pass is forward and the Cheetahs have the scrum on their own five metre line.
The Reds look to hit back straight away. They win a penalty right off the kick-off. The kick to the corner goes out about 12 metres from the line. Some great play from the Reds and they charge at the line but it looks like Genia is short of the line. The TMO is brought in to make a decision. Scrum to the Reds five metres out.
James Horwill is pinged for coming through the side of the maul. Elgar Watts lines up a kick at goal. The penaltykick is good and the Cheetahs lead 21-6.
A great driving maul from the line-out but there is a knock from De Jager about five metres out from the line. Scrum to the Reds on their own five metre line
Piet Van Zyl for the second time in this match shows his raw pace to go over for another score. The Cheetahs scrum half left the Reds defense for dead as he went over untouched. A great line-out from the Cheetahs and Brussouw takes it off the back and slips it inside the Van Zyl who steps Ioane and has enough pace to get into the right-hand corner for the try.
Robert Ebersohn is blown up for infringing on the half-back. Cooper will have another shot and he slots the penalty and the Reds are back in it at 8-6 to the Cheetahs.
The Reds win a penalty in midfield after an infringe,ent at the ruck from a Cheetahs player. Cooper opts to have a shot at the posts. Not too difficult a kick for him and he knocks it over. 8-3 to the Cheetahs.
The Cheetahs string a few phases together after some good play from both forwards and backs alike. The reds are penalised for not staying on their feet at ruck time. Watts converts the resulting penalty from in front of the posts.
