Cardiff Blues take a 17-14 lead over the Cheetahs into halftime. The Blues started strongly with an early penalty and try seeing them build an 8-0 lead. The Cheetahs then picked up a red card 14 minutes in, with the resulting penalty making it 11-0. However, despite being a player down the Cheetahs came storming back with two tries to hit the front 14-11. The Blues would keep the scoreboard ticking over with two late penalties, with the Cheetahs picking up a yellow card to end the half.
