The teams are back out for the second half
Canterbury take a 22-13 lead over Tasman into the break after a sea-saw first half of the Premiership final. Canterbury started like a house on fire and ran in two tries in the opening 5 minutes to lead 12-0. Canterbury picked up a yellow card as Tasman kicked two successful penalties and crossed for a try of their own to turn things around and lead 13-12. However, Canterbury responded with their third try and a penalty to lead by nine at halftime. Tasman will start the second half with 14 men for picking up a yellow card in the final seconds of the half. All to play for in the second forty.
