The Blues take a 17-10 lead over the Brumbies into halftime. The Blues opened the scoring with a try 15 minutes in, with the Brumbies getting on the board with a penalty near the midpoint of the half. A Brumbies try five minutes from halftime saw them in front, but the Blues leveled matters almost immediately with a penalty and ran in their second try just before the break for a seven point lead.
