Brumbies once again find themselves inside the Rebels 22. A ruck was positioned right between the posts and a skip pass by Toomua allows the ball land in the bread basket of Rathbone who runs in for his second and his teams third try of the game.

It was the Brumbies chance to score a try with a 3 man overlap on the Rebels line, however a poor pass goes to ground and Woodward puts a toe in and boots ahead, after numerous bounces he picks but is taken down around the Brumbies' 10 metre line, he offloads to English who was in close support who has 40 metres to run to touch down under the posts to score the Rebels first try of the game.

10-0 after 11 minutes made us think the Brumbies were going to run away with this game but once the Rebels realised what the Brumbies are capable of they knew what had to be done. Although Territory favoured the Brumbies the rebels defence held very solid for the last half hour especially by the forwards around the fringes. Let's see if the the stats remain into the second half or will the Rebels be able to attain more ball in hand and aim to add more points to the score board.

10 phases were put together by the Rebels parked inside the Brumbies 22. After numerous pick and go's from the back of the ruck, there was no way through around the fringes. Brumbies having held themselves solid managed to interrupt the game play and turned over the ball on their own try line nd managed to clear right up to the half way line.

Its been all Brumbies for the past 10 minutes. They seem to becoming regulars in the Rebels 22 and away team with a solid defence are trying so hard to keep the Brumbies out. Lineout after Lineout its the Brumbies who seem to be winning the maul each time.

After 20 minutes, Woodward gets the Rebels scoring underway with an easy kick in front of the posts.

And its Rathbone who goes over for the Brumbies second try of the game.With just 15 metres to run Rathbone puts the foot down and his momentum is too much to stop for the Rebels and he barges through the tackle to score in the left corner.

Scrumhalf Nic White lasts just 8 minutes on the field before a knock to what looks to be his shoulder sees Prior come to the field early on.

The best team try I've seen this season! Superb support play and offloading by the Brumbies. Original break by Kimlin opens up the space and the ball goes through 6 sets of hands and 3 more phases before prop Sio gets his hands on the ball from the back of a ruck and dives over to seal the tremendous support play with 5 points and the first score of the game.
