The Hurricanes show great intent to hit back immediately! Speight rushes up in defence and leaves a gap. Despite the ball hitting the ground the Canes regather it and Lee-Lo shows good pace to get outside Fardy to go over for his first Super Rugby try.
Absolute disaster from the Hurricanes. With a 5m defensive lineout for the Canes, Coles misses his jumper and the ball is overthrown and lands in Whites hand for an easy touch down.
Both teams have been guilty of ill discipline with a number of penalties around the breakdown for both sides.
The Hurricanes jump the gun at the lineout. Set up in defence 8m from their line the Canes take out the Brumbies lifters in an attempt to prevent a Brumbies maul. Unfortunately for them the jumper was in the air and the ref adjudged it to be dangerous play.
Brumbies start the better side and manage to build 10 phases just outside the Canes 22. Canes eventually infringe on the edge of the ruck and Lealiifano opens the Brumbies account.
Hello and welcome to Ultimate Rugby's live coverage as the Brumbies host the Hurricanes.
The Canes have had mixed fortunes this season with 6 wins and 6 losses and sit in 9 position but are only four points off 6th. On the other hand the Brumbies sit on top of the Australian conference and will look to extend their lead to 9 points (with a game in hand).
No doubt Robbie Deans will have a keen eye on this match with a number of potential Wallabies in action. The likes of Mogg, Lealiifano and Mowen have all impressed this season and have been rewarded with a place in the Wallaby training camp ahead of the Lions visit in 3 weeks time.
When these sides met last year the Brumbies won 37-25. Expect another well fought battle with the majority of the fight seen up front. The bookies expect an 7 point win for the Aussies so no doubt this will be a nail bitter!!
